• Afro-Rhythm Dance & Wellness Conference Success

Our 2025 Afro-Rhythm Dance & Wellness Experience was a shining success, celebrating African and Afro-diasporic culture through music, dance, and holistic wellness. Attendees enjoyed various dance and yoga classes, engaged with local vendors, and connected with wellness professionals.

We thank everyone who was able to participate in this dynamic day of movement and cultural connection! Our impact was felt and we are proud to report the following:
    • 317 participants registered, at least 200 attended
    • Ages of participants ranged from three to 70 years old
    • 71% of participants being introduced to a new wellness practice or cultural experience
    • 90% of participants reported experiencing a sense of cultural connection

Here’s what our attendees had to say:

    • “The entire vibe was fantastic, energetic, fun, inclusive, colorful and informative. 10/10!”
    • “Fun, therapeutic, energetic, engaging.”
    • Warm, welcoming, engaging.”

The event not only uplifted our community culturally but created meaningful connections to holistic practices and community resources.

  • Inaugural Community Kwanzaa

Our Kwanzaa community gathering was a powerful expression of connection and tradition, complete with African drumming and dance performances, storytelling across generations, arts and crafts for families, a produce giveaway sponsored by Forsyth Farmers Market, and a family candle-lighting ceremony highlighting the seven principles of Kwanzaa. Seeing elders, youth, families, artists, vendors, volunteers, and first-time attendees come together reminded us that Kwanzaa is not only a celebration — it is a way of life.
